== Education and Licensure Pathway == LPN/LVN preparation is typically a state approved practical nursing program of roughly twelve months, offered by community colleges, technical schools, and some hospitals. Graduates apply to a state board for licensure and must pass the NCLEX-PN examination. See [[NCLEX-PN Exam Blueprint]]. Licenses are renewed on a state defined cycle, usually with continuing education requirements. Many LPNs later complete LPN to RN or LPN to BSN bridge programs.
